Tour of Curaçao

On a rainy Friday, Mark and I rented a car for $25 (plus $23 for gasoline!) to pick up a needed boat part at a metal shop in the middle of nowhere and to explore the island a bit afterwards. The area of Spanish Waters, where all the boats are anchored, is not very attractive, so we had hopes to discover the real Curaçao, once we passed the capital Willemstad. Since my last few blogs have been on the long side, I figured I give you all a break and make this post a picture based one. :-) So, see for yourself what Curaçao has to offer…

Even though we didn't stop here on our "rental car day", the waterfront in Punda, Willemstad is worth a look and the town is one of the country's highlights.

Driving over the tall Queen Juliana Bridge offers industrial views.
